what is the Quran ?
The Quran, the last revealed word of God, is the primary source of every Muslim’s faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects which concern human beings: wisdom, doctrine, worship, transactions, law, etc., but its basic theme is the relationship between God and His creatures. At the same time, it provides guidelines and detailed teachings for a just society, proper human conduct, and an equitable economic system.
Note that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad in Arabic only. So, any Quranic translation, either in English or any other ********, is neither a Quran, nor a version of the Quran, but rather it is only a translation of the meaning of the Quran. The Quran exists only in the Arabic in which it was revealed.
Al-Quran is the eternal miracle. It is the last Book of Allah sent for the guidance of humanity through the last Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH).in the Quran you can find all what the man need to be on the good way,it help people to be in heaven and reach paradise,as we know the man need to do good in this life to get and reach the paradise as a gift from the God(Allah),so to every one that want to be on a good way he must have like a map ,the Quran look like that map that help us to see the good way, other example I can give you that what is the Quran for the humans, you can imagin you get or did buy a new machine then you will need a catalog or a book of use for this machine that how to work it and turn it on and so on, so , the Quran work as a book of use for the humans, that Allah create us and he know what is good and what is bad for us, he did give us the Quran as a mercy from him that he included in it all notes and information of how to be good humans, and how to deal good to peoples and how to be stronger against the bad things and keep get hop in this life and keep have strong faith in the God whatever will happen and whatever will be in this life ,cause we have this guide which the Quran .
Revelation of the Quran
The Quran was revealed piecemeal throughout a period of about 23 years. The Prophet received the first revelation in 610CE, in the Cave of Hira in the Mountain of Light (Jabale-Noor), two and a half miles away from the House of Allah in the city of Makkah in Arabia.
The first revelation was the first five verses of Surah (chapter) Al-Alaq: "Iqra bismi rabbikalla dhi khalaq. Khalaqal insana min alaq. Iqra wa rabbukal akram. Alladhi 'allama bil qalam. 'Allamal insana malam ya’lam, " which means "Read in the name of your Lord who created, created man from a clot. Read, for your Lord is most Generous, Who teaches by means of the pen, teaches man what he does not know." (96: 1-5)
The last revelation was the third verse of Surah Al-Maidah, which was sent down to the Prophet in 632 C.E. : "Al yawma akmaltu lakum dinakam wa atmamtu alaikam ni'mati wa raditu' lakumul islama dinan''," which means "Today I perfected your religion for you and completed my favor to you and have chosen for you Al-Islam as your religion." (5:3)
Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening Chapter) was the first complete chapter to be revealed and Surah An-Nasr was the last.
Divisions of the Quran
Al-Quran is divided into thirty equal divisions, which are called juz in Arabic. There are 114 chapters, of varying length. The longest chapter is Al-Baqarah consisting of 286 verses and the shortest chapter is AlKawthar consisting of three verses only. The whole Quran has 6,236 verses (see Basic Stats on The Holy Quran (http://www.islam101.com/dawah/QuranStats.htm))
The chapters revealed before the migration of the Prophet to Madina are called Makkan, whereas those sent down after the migration are called Madinan.
Topics of the Chapters
Makkan chapters generally consist of brief sentences which are full of enthusiasm, poetical, lofty and brilliant. They stress the Unity and Majesty of Allah, the Most Exalted, Most High (SWT), denounce idol worship, promise paradise for the righteous and warn wrongdoers of their punishment in Hellfire, confirm the prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH), and remind humanity of the past prophets and events of their time.
On the other hand, the Madinan chapters are lengthy and the verses are more prosaic. They outline ritualistic aspects of Islam such as Zakah, Fasting, and Hajj, lay down moral and ethical codes, criminal laws, social, economic, and state policies, give guidelines for foreign relations, rules and regulations for battle and the captives of war. They also contain de******ions of some of the early battles of Islam, condemnation of hypocrites, emphasis on the unified basic message of all the past prophets, and confirmation that the process of prophethood and revelation is complete, so that no Prophet will come after Muhammad [PBUH], no new book will be revealed, and Allah's religion is complete through Al-Quran. So here Allah [SWT] exhorted the followers of truth to make Al-Quran as their only guide.
The Importance of the Quran
The Quran is considered the eternal miracle of Islam. It is the complete and best guide for living one's life and seeking Allah's pleasure The teachings of the Quran are universal, addressed to all people throughout the world regardless of their creed and color. They enlighten man's soul, purify his morals, condemn all wrongs, order good deeds and call for the establishment of justice and fraternity through obeying Allah as the supreme authority. The Quran provides the regulations that create the proper relations between man and Allah and man and man. It leads man to understand his role in this world, encourages him to think and ponder, and guides him in the usage of natural resources. In short, the Quran provides all the guidance that humanity needs. Without the guidance of the Quran, humanity would still be groping in the darkness of ignorance.
Compilation of the Quran
The Quran was revealed piecemeal, according to the needs of the time. Angel Jibrail [PBUH] brought it to the Prophet [PBUH] who would memorize it. Afterwards, it was preserved in two ways.
First, through memorization, there were a number of early Muslims who would memorize each revelation as soon as it was revealed and thus had the whole Quran memorized at the time of the final revelation. The tradition of memorizing the entire Quran still continues, and a person who does so is called a Hafize Quran.
Second, the Quran was preserved through writing. Whenever any revelation took place, it was written at once on tablets, palm branches, shorn of leaves, or animal skin. This was done primarily by Zaid bin Thabit, who was the main scribe out of the 42 scribes of the revelation. The Prophet [PBUH] set the order of the chapters under the guidance of Angel Jibrail [PBUH] and ordered his companions to maintain that order. Abu Bakr, the first caliph of Islam, compiled the Quran, and Uthman, the third caliph, made numerous copies and sent one copy to each state capital.
Eternal Miracle
Al-Quran is the only ever living miracle. Today no other miracle of any prophet exists. According to a survey, the number of Huffaz (persons who have memorized the whole Quran) today is more than 10 million.
Millions of editions and copies were printed and handwritten in almost every part of the world. They were also translated into most of the ********s of mankind. During the period of over 1400 years since the Quran was revealed, not a single letter was changed. This is one of the greatest miracles of the Quran.

Surat al baqarah
with explain to it meaning
I depend on making the explanation
On the book tafseer ibn katheer
And I added some notes to make the meaning as much simple as can.
Abo solaiman al naser
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) (1. Alif Lam Mim).
The individual letters in the beginning of some Surahs are as a challenge to humans is that they testify to the miracle of the Qur'an. Indeed, the servants are unable to produce something like the Qur'an, although it is comprised of the same letters with which they speak to each other. That Allah like say to those who has doubt about the Quran ,that it is consists from Arabic letters ,and he challenge them that if you think it is from a human, try make a book perfect as the Quran, but the truth that no one was able to make a book same as the Quran cause it is not just a book, it is a miracle from the God, it is so special in the choose of words and way of telling and who did study the Arabic ******** can see so clear how it can not be made by a human.
(This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah. (2).)
The meaning of this is that the Quran , is without a doubt revealed from Allah. And as Allah said in another section in the Quran (And We send down of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe) so it is healing and mercy and guide to those who believe in Allah , that it means, "They are the believers who avoid Shirk with Allah and who work in His obedience. Those who fear Allah's punishment, which would result if they abandoned the true guidance that they recognize and know. They also hope in Allah's mercy by believing in what He revealed.
(Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them. (3))
Here Allah tell us about those who fear Allah, that if some one ask who are they? Allah answer this question in the Quran ,he say those the good believers , believe in the unseen, this is one of there character They believe in Allah, His angels, Books, Messengers, the Last Day, His Paradise, Fire and in the meeting with Him. They also believe in life after death and in Resurrection. All of this is the unseen, which is the things that u can not see it, but believe in it, also other character of them that they pray to Allah the pray is the thing that connect us to the God ,so they Perform the prayer with all of the obligations that accompany it, another character for those the good men, the good believers is that they spend from there money, but what kind of spend Allah mean ? well,an answer for this it is the zakat, which mean spend part from our money to poor people who need that so much , also it involve in this any good spend like spending on our family, In many instances, Allah mentioned prayer and spending wealth together. Prayer is a right of Allah as well as a form of worshipping Him. It includes singling Him out for one's devotion, praising Him, glorifying Him, supplicating to Him, invoking Him, and it displays one's dependence upon Him. Spending is form of kindness towards creatures by giving them what will benefit them, and those people most deserving of this charity are the relatives, the wife, the servants and then the rest of the people. So all types of required charity and required spending are included in Allah's saying.
(And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. (4))
Allah continue tell us about those who fear Allah and the good believers, make us know there character ,but why? That is to do same as them, he tell us to be good as them, so in this section he tell they believe in the revelation sent to thee, means, "They believe in what Allah sent you with, and in what the previous Messengers were sent with, they do not distinguish between (believing) them, nor do they reject what they brought from their Lord.'' That they believe in all prophets sent before like jesus ,moses yousof, or as say in English joseph, and so on, they all sent from one God which is Allah. (And in the Hereafter they are certain) that is the resurrection, the standing (on the Day of Resurrection), Paradise, the Fire, the reckoning and the the Scale that weighs the deeds (the Mizan). The Hereafter is so named because it comes after this earthly life.
This is the simple explanation of the first 4 ayat from surat al baqarah..
Mujahid once stated, "Four Ayat at the beginning of Surat Al-Baqarah describe the believers, two describe the disbelievers, and thirteen describe the hypocrites.'' The four Ayat mentioned in this statement are general and include every believer, whether an Arab, non-Arab, or a person of a previous ******ure, whether they are Jinns or humans. All of these attributes complement each other and require the existence of the other attributes. For instance, it is not possible that one believes in the Unseen, performs the prayer and gives Zakah without believing in what the Messenger of Allah and the previous Messengers were sent with. The same with certainty in the Hereafter, this is not correct without that, for Allah has commanded the believers in other part from the Quran (O you who believe! Believe in Allah, and His Messenger, and the Book (the Qur'an) which He has revealed to the Messenger, and the Book which He sent own to those before (him)) (4:136)
and also
(O you who have been given the Book (Jews and Christians)! Believe in what We have revealed (to Muhammad ) confirming what is (already) with you) (4:47)
and in another part
(The Messenger (Muhammad ) believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say,) "We make no distinction between any of His Messengers'') (2: 285)
As you see the matter of the faith of believe must be as follow
We believe in one God which is the only God (Allah)
And believe that he sent us messengers and prophets
And believe in the books he sent, and the last book and the last miracle which is the Quran, in which it us confirming to the previous books and it updating them, it contain all what we need from the previous books that we do not need take a look to the previous cause it already mentioned in the Quran, also we do not distinguish between prophets, they all humans and they have miracles from the God even it is not the same, but they still humans, Allah sent them as a mercy to populations to teach them to worship one God and teach them who to be good people , and other thing is believe in the unseen and the judgment day.
(They are on (true guidance), from their Lord and it is these who will prosper. (5))
Allah tell about who do all that will get good reward, they are (following) a light, guidance, and have insight from Allah, (And they are the successful) meaning, in this world and the Hereafter. They shall have what they seek and be saved from the evil that they tried to avoid. Therefore, they will have rewards, eternal life in Paradise, and safety from the torment that Allah has prepared for His enemies.
That was first 5 ayat from surat al baqarah,
I wish luck to all who will read this words, and I ask Allah to protect him and be with him .
